The first in the series of this historic cathedral that was saved by the bravery of the town mayor as he ran into the battlefield to stop the town from being bombed.  The impact of light is explored with deep blue shadows cast on various forms of the space.  The impact of time on the cathedral’s stone, with over nine hundred years of subtle erosion of crisp details combined with the accumulation of natural and man-made particles is suggested with brush strokes and colors.
