Dennis Reynolds provided urban design and landscape architecture services for the Scioto Peninsula Riverfront development master plan in downtown Columbus, Ohio, while a Vice President with NBBJ.  Dennis facilitated multiple stakeholders including two institutions, a residential neighborhood, the City and Corps of Engineers to create a unified plan for this expanding destination district.  Competing and sometime conflicting development goals were coordinated to create a unified site design vision for the riverfront and its significant civic buildings.  Getting all of the right people in the right room with the right process was critical to the project’s success (the three P’s of successful design: people, place and process). Design goals included creating a regional destination that supported the adjacent building functions and provided a critical link in a regional trail system.
